I apologize in advance if this is the wrong area to post this question. I just thought knowing the laptops model might help in better answering the question. ^_^
I recently purchased Final Fantasy XI and want to play it on the laptop. I installed it, it runs perfectly fine (after having to deal with the Vista patch..grr)

A friend told me that there is a way to go into the second menu and reconfigure my settings to "Compact" so that I can play on the laptop (I wanted to set movement to the arrow keys if possible)

However typing the appropriate key (which is -) twice doesn't bring up my second menu...it only types:--

The instructions say to type the - key on the number pad but seeing as how I don't have one and how typing the - key underneath the f keys doesn't do a thing, is there any way I can set the game to "Compact"?

Sorry if this seems newb but I'm new to using a notebook AND mmorpgs. ^_^
Any help would be really appreciated!
    Thanks!
