I was wondering about shared video memory earlier.

I have never really used a computer with SVM, so how good is it? I know it is considered the lowest of the low in terms of 3d performance, but what are its capabilities?

For example, I assume you could play old games, such as half life or doom, using only SVM.

I also assume that modern games, such as Half Life 2 and Doom 3, would be unplayable, even at the lowest settings.

But am I correct? And why hasnt anyone invented PCMCIA graphics cards? [ :D]

You may have one that only goes up to 32 mb.
