Guess they're all gone, from the resellers I've gone to anyways.

Ugh, the closest was where the last one was sold almost a week and a half ago.

I've read all the reviews here and it sounds great for its price.

Crap - back to step one.

Is there any other Acer's that comes close? spec-wise and price-wise?

    Thanks

From most of the Acer models that I have seen in Canada, it looks like they're reverting back to the 4:3 ratio screen rather than wide screens. Also, the video cards used in the units seems to have been lowered as well (integrated Intel video w/shared video memory). I don't know why they'd cheapen their units like this, they used to provide an excellent bang-for-the-buck, now they're just average.

    I know!!

it looks like 50% of all their notebooks are Widescreen while the others are just the old screens.

I'm still gonna follow Acer, as its my brand of choice, but im leaning towards Fujitsu too.
