As i see in Acer's site there are two BIOS Updates after mine (1,09). Te latest is reffering to the battery for changing the critical level for 3 to 5%.

Moreover i see a BIOS for the Discrete ATI card (i have 5650).

What do you suggest should i perform the updates?

How about asking these questions in the 5740g owners lounge, or at least all in one thread rather than spamming lots of threads?

    1. Yes that update is important so your battery does not die.
    2. Whatever you think you will not use you should remove.
    3. Your ram will run async dual channel, 2GB of each stick will have DC bandwidth while the remaining 2GB will have single channel bandwidth. The performance benefit is not huge anyway plus you will rarely dip into that last 2GB.

Sorry it was not my intention to spam, i just needed a quick answer... so let me understand since i did not get it would it be better 2X2GB ram than 1X2GB and 1x4GB?

PS i read about upgreading the bios of the system after i have started the thread but i still did not get if i should (since i see no problems at the moment) upgrade the video card (what are the fixes that the new bios offers?)????
