It's been a long while since I've tinkered around with a new computer, but just to doublecheck, is it still "good form" to uninstall old drivers before running the setup.exe of new drivers?

    Thanks for the help.

p.s. This was posted on my new Acer 4820TG. :)

That's what I do - I just skip the whole driver-cleaner-sweeper nonsense that more dedicated people use.

In regards to Nvidia graphics drivers, yes. And I do recommend Guru3D Driver Sweeper. I have had problems during/after updating/installing Nvidia drivers on every computer I've had before I found and used the driver sweeper. If there are any remnants of previous Nvidia graphics drivers on the system when installing an Nvidia graphics driver, the graphics cards would not function properly, or sometimes not at all.

Which is strange, because I've never had those problems on my system.
