    Silly 5920G Shortcut Request!

    Hi,
    I reinstalled the webcam driver for the 5920G and now...I don't have a desktop shortcut to activate it! :eek: Could anyone be so kind and give me the shortcut link!!!

    Just hit the Start button and type in Webcam(or CrystalEye or something) and it should pop up, then you can drag it to the desktop.

    That is why I asked for the shortcut path...for some reason I get nix apart from the uninstall exe for the webcam. Could you right mouse click yours and tell me the path? :eek:

    I'm not too sure how to get the path, sorry. I right clicked it but I did not see what you might have been looking for. Well it's sort of late now(I gotta get going to bed now actually), bump it up when more people are on the forums like in the afternoon or something.

    just go c:/programfiles/acer crystal webcam and right click the .exe file and send shortcut to desktop

    use the e-recovery then restore to get all the drivers that came with the laptop. then u can have the webcam shortcut

    Thanks for the replies...I just had to install the drivers from the AP folder that were in the Suyin folder in the software backup files :) . It also added the shortcut.

    I did a clean install of Vista and don't have this handy little app anymore(even after installing the drivers). Could someone post or email me the program as its not on the Acer website either! ([email protected])

    go online to the support center of acer.com. u'll find all the drivers over there and even new versions of ur bios.

    I have installed the drivers but I just don't have the orbicam application! And like I said its not on the website
