Hi there. I've just ordered the Acer Aspire 5920 from Laptops Direct (the turbo memory version).
I've paid extra to have the pre delivery inspection. They informed me this will include checking for dead pixels and doing all Windows Vista and driver/firmware updates where necessary. I was told this will include all of the updates from the Acer download page.
My question is, how do I check that they have done all the correct updates, including the Bios update and Robson memory update?
If I try and install one of these updates, but they have already been previously installed, will this cause any problems with the system?
By the way I was also thinking of purchasing the Netgear DG834N modem router. Is it any good?
Many thanks for your help.

Hi there
Can someone respond to my query?
Many thanks

if you try to install another driver, it will either prevent you from installing it, since it's already up to date, or your store didn't do anything at all and it'll install ^^
as long as you choose the correct drivers for your notebookmodel, it should be fine.
but, don't update the drivers if your system is running fine. update it, if there are known issues.
