Since SpeedFan doesn't seem to detect, I was wondering if there is any other software for Windows that would allow me to control the fan speeds on Windows XP.

    Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, there is no software to control the fan speeds.
The Fan Algorithm is hard-coded into the ACPI, and is inaccessible by the end-user.

Damm...while changing the cpu from a Acer 5920 to the 5315 it was pretty obvious how more cheap and basic the cooling system is...and that does show in the temps and fan speeds (to make up for the poor basic design) :/

You can undervolt, which will significantly reduce load temps.

Going to see whats the normal undervolting settings for T7300's and do some testing then.
