    1. Would the QX9300 or Q9200 work in the 8930?

    2. Would 6GB RAM work?

    3. Would the new Intel 80GB SSD work?

    4. Lastly, Is the 8930 an MXM laptop?

    Hi, guys

I've just bought a 8930, and so far so good, except that the Cine Dash Media console seems to have locked with the sound mute light on (sound is not muted) and volume showing as full. Is there any way to reset this, or have I done something really stupid?

    TIA

    Dave

i tried playing with my cinedash console, and found that if the volume light is turned on, mute light can't be the same way too..and so in reverse. I think it's hardware issue. Send it to acer cs immediately.

    good luck :) :)

Just found the answer. Shut down, remove mains lead and battery for at least 10 secs and reboot. Had not tried the battery thing up until now.

    Thanks anyway Playa

nope, i checked, my 8930g only takes 4gb as far as i know. they need a bios update for it to work
    (lets hope we get one)

    all SSD's should work.
