I have an ACER ASPIRE 5100

Well first of all my left clicker on my touch pad is suddenly acting all "wierd". It's giving me a hard time with things, when I type and rest my arm on the side next to the clicker it randomly clicks and i keep typing and then all my text is deleted.

Another thing it tends to do, is when I click on something it clicks several times. Or when my finger is barely rested ontop of it, it will click on anything when i do that, which i can't believe. I've played games on my laptop that require me to use the left clicker and it will click on things several times, making it quite difficult.

So basically whenever i touch (barely, or all the way) on or around the left clicker, it clicks on everything several times.

Is this a sensitivity problem, if so please tell me how to change this setting. I've looked all over the internet and still am terribly clueless on how to change my sensitivity settings. It's making me so frustrated that i'm about to give up on my laptop...HELP PLEASE!

i don't think it has anything to do with your sensitivity.....i think your touchpad is malfunctioning, and the only thing you can probably do is get it repaired. if you want to try and change your touchpad settings (doubt it will do anything), you should go to control panel and to mouse.

Turn the touchpad off and use a mouse.

I'll claim ignorance. I have an Acer Aspire 3100 notebook. How do you turn off the touchpad?
