Since upgrading to win 7 on my acer aspire 5536 I have been experiencing poppings sounds when listening to audio via usb. I have run Dpc Latency and this shows spikes. When I disable W lan drivers in device manager these spikes disappear but the popping noises don't. I have searched for updates and they all come back as the latest drivers. I never had this problem with Vista. I am also using asio drivers for the sound card. Please help I'm not very computer minded so am having to rely on these forums to solve the issue.
Thankyou

I am trying to investigate a problem that sounds very similar also on an aspire 5536. The maker of my usb audio interface tells me they have raised this as an "issue" with AMD.
If you play the audio, go into Windows Control Panel, audio devices and select the "Recording" tab. Does the popping change?
I'd be very grateful for any info whether or not this affects the problem. If it does help, I can point you towards a possible workaround.
Edit: I have just looked up the Maya44 usb and it appears to be a USB2.0 device, so this may not be the effect I am experiencing with usb 1.1 devices here, but it would be useful to do the above check anyway.
