    Howdy everyone,

I am in the market for a new laptop, but I'm in no rush to get it. As a F-1 fan, I decided that I would get the one of the Ferrari laptops. Having a screen that can display high resolution is of upmost importance to me, but the X700 graphics controller just won't cut it for a computer that costs upwards of 2 grand (especially considering I could buy a Dell E1505 with their special deal right now for $1500 shipped to my door w/ an Intel Duo, TV Tuner, and the ATI X1400 graphics controller).

So my question is, when do you think the next line of Ferrari laptops will come out?

I think that they will probably update it when AMD releases the dual core Turions in May/June. These should get a better graphics card and should also support DDR2 memory.

If you are looking for good quality gaming, dont go for the X700 or the X1400... they are not powerful enough. If you have them, forget about FEAR set to anything above minimum quality at 800x600 :(.... You need X800 or X1600 at least. Dont refer to the Radeons if looking for exceptional performance though, look into Ge Force Go 7800 or 7900. They are what you want. (if you have the cash)

I'm trying to find a list of notebooks that have those GPUs, and are 15.4 or smaller... every time i try and go find a notebook, i can sort by size, not by GPU/resolution...

I think you might have trouble finding 15.4 inch notebooks with GeForce 7800 and 7900... those are higher-end GPUs and require large chassis for adequate cooling environment. The most i have seen a 15.4 have is a Radeon X1600 or a GeForce Go 7600... equal power graphics cards. They will do you good in A LOT of games... Call of Duty 2 at native res on my 8204 and 2x AA sampling... works well - always above 25fps
