    Hi there,

I'm new as you probably can see. I am really struggling with a problem with my laptop and need help. Its an Acer Aspire 1670

It works fine enough. But if for instance I do a windows update or for some reason need to restart the laptop, it won't go back on again for about half an hour. Even if I take the battery and power lead out. It won't go back on. The lights on the front come on and the fan starts as if its working, but it doesn't do that *beep* noise to tell you its starting up.

You have to sit for half an hour before it will go back on. Even if I turn it off normally, then need to use it again, Its a half hour wait.

This is a particularly annoying thing because I regularly use it out of the home. And I need to keep it on in the car.

There doesnt seem to be any other issue's. I've looked at the power down options on windows, it isn't overheating or crashing when I'm using it.

I would like to see if anyone can help me with this same problem.
But My pc doesn't start att all.

    The lights go on.
    The fan starts blowing.
3 seconds later all locks again.
The mysterious thing is that when I start the Notebook with the powercable plugged in, It does this startup close-up only once.
I have to remove the cable, befor I can do this again. Untill I do, The startbutton, doesn't respond at all.
As the cable gets removed, the startup works again. And after three seconds it closes again.

Even with the cable removed, and only on battery, OR With only the cable, and the battery removed. The problem is totaly the same.

The Laptop has run normaly. I bought it secondhand.
But now I can't do anything with it anymore.

    Please help!!!

    Kind regards,

    Robert.
