I have recently performed a system restore and the machine is running like a dream. The only problem that I am now having is an occasional sound error after coming out of system standby. When restarting windows the sounds do not work and the windows' volume indicator in my system tray only lists wav, synth and cd. Why has the PC speaker tag and the other volume indicators disappeared? The only way I can regain them is buy rebooting. What's happening? Any ideas?
