    Hi all,
I'm newbie here and want to ask you all about this strange behaviour of my acer aspire 5920g.
my monitor on acer 5920g will not had a brightnes if i move the monitor
to more than 40 degree, in other words it's goes dark, nothing in the screen only a very-very little brightnes. but if i move my monitor to less than 30 degree, which is almost closed the lid, then my monitor will completly back to normal (the point is how can i use the laptop in this position  )

but, if i let my laptop to run about 30 minutes, then i can open the lcd up to
+/- 90 degree, more than that the lcd goes dark again.

i already reinstall the windows and everything, but nothing can fix it.

I realy need your help guys:confused2:

many thank's for any sugestion and help:cry:

Looks like a loose contact.I might be wrong though.

Is there something to increase brightness in the display settings?

    i'm W/ RAMBO29,,

there was one model that had an issue with a connector comming loose when the lid was extended too far,, sounds strangely like your problem

to increase brightness hold the FUNCTION KEY and press RIGHT ARROW key multiple times,,, thats the brightness keys on my model anyway

    good luck,
    bigO

P.S. try the search function at the top right of the page and search for
    5920 display malfunction

i think it's a connector inside the laptop,,, or worse,,,,,,, best to send to ACER or take back to store where purchased..

unless you feel like taking a chance on voiding your warranty and opening the laptop yourself

    later,
    bigO
