I have swapped mobo's in my acer 3680 to a Motherboard MB.TDX06.005 from an acer travelmate. They are supposed to be the same board, with the 005 handling more memory.

I am having a strange issue that the other board was not doing. When I plug it into a power supply with the battery in, and turn it off, it will not boot. If the power supply is unplugged, leaving the battery in, it boots fine. If I leave the power supply plugged in and hold the power button down for 20 seconds or so, it also will boot fine. There is some charge buildup happening that is preventing it from booting only when the power cord is plugged in? Any takers? I'm lost. I have tried swapping the HDD and the Ram and a different power supply. Same issue. Faulty board?

    Thanks
