Hello everybody.
I have a problem with the audio. I reinstal the O.S. because my laptop was working slow, and because the sound did not work properly. Everything affter instalation works fine, just the audio doen´t work properly, it sounds...
hesitating
I thought the problem was the cpu temperatures... 60º-65º idle, and just open a few windows it reachs at 75º-80º, and stay in this temps.
So, l looked arround in forums and find this program.
Notebook Hardware Control, lets make undervolting. So I make some test... and just when the cpu loads at 100% the audio works properly, clean and perfect. If cpu loads under 80% the audio sounds... but defective, not clean...
All works fine...just the audio...
Any suggestion?
I installed and reinstalled, Realted HD Audio drivers...but always the same problem...
Thank you in advandce.

Did you reinstall from the hidden partition to bring it all back to "as new" ? No "tweaky" programs installed... original BIOS. If it's still faulty, then it sounds like you have a problem.

Thank´s for the answer Mooly... I made a clean instalation...Not from the hidden partition... The problem is the same, under XP and Vista. I made a new instalation...just installed drivers, and tried to find why the audio doesn´t work...but is the same...
Now affter a clean instalation, just installed everest...and cpu temp shows 78º with cpu usage 6%...
maybe something is wrong with the cpu...?
I will try to find more info...
Thanks againg... -
Doubt it's anything wrong with the CPU. The hidden partition will reinstate all the original drivers etc. That has to be your starting point to see what's going I feel. Take it from there and install just the basics. If that doesn't work and the audio is faulty then you have other problems I think (possibly hardware etc). Have you altered the BIOS from what was originally installed.
I don't think running recovery alters the BIOS back to an earlier version.... perhaps someone would care to comment on that. -
Mooly, what do you think about the cpu temps? I think 78º just starting windows and open only everest, is too high, for this reason I think about CPU...
I did not modified the BIOS, and the sound problem happends also with original soft.
Maybe the sound card is defective...2 OS installed, a lot of drivers probes, and nothing work...
Thanks for your help... -
Your welcome,
If you haven't altered the BIOS, then running ERecovery using the hidden partion will restore everything. If you have two OS's installed then that isn't factory restored, you have added stuff. Or use the backup DVD you burned when it was new ???? or press ALT AND F10 when it boots (all in the Acer PDF manual pre installed) to run a full recovery. I wouldn't even have it connected to the web doing that, so it can't update or anything, and just test it.
If it's still not right, then you have a fault somewhere.
You can't have all these problems with a factory restored image and no other software installed... if you have then something is wrong.
If the CPU is really at that temperature (which is too high for just booting into windows) then the fan will be running at high speed. Is it ?
Sounds more like you have some software conflicts somehow... and the only way to prove that is to restore to "out of the box condition", which if you have more than one OS installed as you say, then it can not be.
Good luck with it
