Running HD Tune on my Toshiba MK6025GAS (60GB), I get:

    Standard: ATA/ATAPI-6
    Supported: UDMA Mode 5 (UATA/100)
    Active: UDMA Mode 2 (UATA/33)

What I want to know is:

    1) Am I getting screwed out of optimal performance from my HDD? I think I am.
    2) If so, how do I activate UDMA Mode 5?

I'm using an Acer Aspire 1800. I'm thinking it is my BIOS that is hindering the full usage, but I also wonder if it is the HDD. Would getting a new one help?
