    Hi,

So I had a Inspiron e1405 that I had been using for college until it died a couple days ago (screen was broken) That computer was very old anyways so I decided to order an Acer Timeline 1810t (su7300).

I had replaced the hard drive in my old computer over the summer for a 160gb 7200rmp one (I can't remember exactly which one but I'm pretty sure it was WD). I want to replace the hard drive in the Acer when it arrives. Could I just replace it with the one in my old laptop? Or would it be worth it to upgrade to an SSD, I only have used about 35gb of my current hard drive, so an 80gb SSD would be plenty for what I use. I only really use email, internet, word, and itunes so would an SSD provide a notable difference?

Also, the hard drive in my current laptop is running windows XP SP2. How would I have to go about doing a clean install of Windows 7 onto the new computer if I want to use the same hard drive. (My old computer is still functional if I just attach it to a desktop monitor).
