    Synaptics or Elantech?

    Which one of these is better on an Acer laptop? is there any difference in quality or usability. I've found both in Acer Aspire 5750 but different versions.

    It has always been synaptics.

    Synaptics. Their touchpads have always been the best in the market. Also, comparing Synaptics with any other manufacturer, you'll realise that their gestures and scrolling functions are far more comprehensive. Take Scrybe for example, there's no comparable alternative to it on the market now.
