    Hello!

After two weeks of 'researching,' I have narrowed down my choice to two laptops:
    - Travel mate 3200xci
    - Aspire 1681WLMi

However, I cannot decide which one I should get since they both have the 'same' specifications (CPU, ram, etc). The biggest difference I can think of between these two is the weight, screen size and price (the AS 1680 is around $300 (cad) cheaper.)

So, which of these two models would you recommend?

    Thank you.

I guess is mainly comes down to what your needs are. If you want to have a light/compact unit that will be carried around a lot, then you may want to get the 3200. But if weight is not too much of an issue, then the 1680 is a better way to go. You also have to take into consideration the 4 cell batteries in the 1680 (2.5hrs runtime), while the 3200 has a 6 cell battery (4hrs runtime).

Not all 1680 Series come with 4 cell batteries. I ve got mine with an 8 cell working for more than 4 plus hours. So you have to check it out with your regional dealer what battery they supply with the lappy.
