Can someone guide me for the last time. Ive been swaying from here and there. I have 2 models to choose from now. The Acer TravelMate 4502WLMi and the Acer Aspire 1683WLMi. Both the are same identical models except the 4502WLMi is 1.6Ghz with XP Pro, port replicator pin and curved keyboard for $1550 and the 1683WLMi is a 1.7Ghz with XP Home, no port replicator pin, aspire arcade feature and not sure if it has a 4 cell or an 8 cell battery for $1450.

Anyone who can advise me please. These 2 are available in the middle east for these prices and im confused, as i got to get it down from there.

i feel if u dont need the port replicator feature as in adding more ports to the system(such as serial, printers n so on), u wouldnt bother about it.
then, the keyboard difference. the curve keyboard would need a little bit of getting used to if u have been using the normal keyboard for a while. this 2 things, as indicated by you is the common things that one would consider before making decision.
the other thing, the extra 0.1Ghz processing power. u couldn't c much difference between the 2 since it's just 0.1Ghz difference. However, for the long run, I always believe in getting the most out of your current cash.
about the 8-cell battery, i believe you have to check with the dealer in your country to confirm it. or else if anyone from the same region could provide an answer for you in this forum.

TravelMate 4502LMI rocks! You'll be very happy with it! I just wish it came with Bluetooth installed.
