Hey, I just got the TM 4720-6336 notebook, and am slightly concerned about which battery I have (I was assuming it would be the 9 cell). I haven't really got a feel for the battery life yet but given this review:
http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/acer-travelmate-4720-core/4505-3121_7-32569142.html
it seems a little on the short side. (I understand that the models are slightly different, but it looks like the main difference is that they have a 120gb hdd while mine is 160gb, which shouldn't have a huge impact on battery life). I was also a little suspicious since this model is often listed as coming with a 6 cell, however I was reassured by the place I bought it from that it was a 9 cell, since it says so on the acer website:
http://www.acer.ca/public/page4.do?...txParam=en&ctx3=-1&ctx4=Canada&crc=1597278801
(click on technical specifications, and it shows a 9 cell).
Anyhow, is there a way to tell for sure? The battery is 11.1V 4400mAh, and has the model GARDA31. Googling wasn't too helpful.
Thanks for any help!

Bump, hopefully someone knows.

I'd say you have 6 cell battery since mine has the same capacity as yours and mine is 6 cell for sure.
I think 9 cell battery has somewhere around 6-8000mAh. -
Hmm. That was my fear, now I must get into contact with acer and ask them what the deal is.

Alright, well it is the 6-cell, despite the specifications on acer Canada's website listing 9 cell as the ONLY option.
Anyhow, does anyone know whether the 9 cell battery will fit flush in this (4720-6336) model?
This seems to be the correct 9 cell battery:

install RMCLOCK
it has a wealth of INFO on the installed battery
TM 4720-6336 6 or 9 cell battery?
