Is anybody else here getting a really hot AC adaptor when charging their 8100's?

My AC adaptor is getting really hot during charging, after about an hour of use it's actually uncomfortable to hold (I know - "then don't hold it" [ :)]).

I'm one of the guys that had a screen flicker problem with my machine, and I thought Acer had fixed it (new charger board) but it's still happening.

Although I find it hard to believe that the Acer techs didn't check the AC adaptor before whipping out the charging circuit, I still suspect that the adaptor might be the problem. I was wondering if other users could check for heat, and maybe post their adaptor model number? Mine is a Lite-On PA-1650-02 (UK version, but I think this charger model is supplied in other countries)...

No flicker here - Adapter Model Delta Electronics SADP-65KB B. After 1.5 hours the adapter is hot. Not fry an egg on hot , but warmer than my Targus 90W adapter I think.

Regardless of where you purchaed it , they (the adapters) are all made in China anyways aren't they ?

My Delta Electronics SADP-65KB B. gets hot as well but mine notebook is not 8100 , so i guess this is normal for delta power bricks

I think the notebook itself is made in china (or is it taiwan) , so dosnt make any differece if the power adapter is made somewhere else

    What is HOT?

Tested several of above mentioned adapters on the 8104's and none gets realy hot.

Tested on 220V / 50Hz Central European power network.
Adapter batch from APRIL 2005 !!!!!

NOTE: I only worked on one and just plugged in the others. Of course the system goes in hybernation and then there in no more consumption. But the one i kept working on also didn't get hot. It got warm , just as the adapters on the Toshiba Tecra but not more or not noticebly less! It is certainly less hot then the bottom of the Compaq Armada (embeded power supply) that makes your leggs sweat if you wear shorts - LOL
