    Waaahhhh!!

I recently - a few months ago - had some CRC errors on my hard drive, and before anything could happen, I backed it up, installed a new hard drive, and put everything back.

The new hard disk - a WD 160GB model - was never very fast but it worked OK - until now. Now I have CRC errors again, Norton Ghost just failed to back up my c: drive because of errors.

So I will have to bite the bullet and replace the HD once again. However, before I do that, I would like to know if it's possible that something else about my machine breaks the HD. I don't think this machine overheats.

Does anyone else have this problem repeatedly on their Acers?

There could be a problem with the connection of the hard drive to the motherboard which is corrupting the drive
