Just bought the bluetooth headset Plantronics Pulsar 260 and for starters tested it with my PDA - it worked perfectly. However, when used in stereo mode (A2DP) with the TM (in " hands-free" mode everything's OK too), the sound is jerky and keeping disappearing all the time, that is unlistenable absolutely. I've got the latest widcom drivers installed (5.1.0.2700) and otherwise have no problems with bluetooth. So what actually might be the matter: incompatibility with a specific headset model or some deeper lying flaw in TM 8204? I suspect some tweaking could solve my problem... Has anybody had a successful experience of using TM 8204 with a stereo bluetooth headset at all, I mean listening to music playing on the comp?

Did you ever solve your skipping issue with stereo audio? I just purchased the Plantronic 590A stereo bluetooth headset and I'm having the same issue you described. The 590's work great with my cell phone for both taking calls and listening to stereo audio, but with my TM 8204 I can't get stereo audio to work. It works fine with Skype on the TM 8204.

The solution was eventually found, through numerous trials and errors... The problem was how to redirect stereo audio and in my case it turned out to be by pressing a particular combination on the audio switch (the feature not documented anywhere). So now (already in Vista, but it also worked under XP) I just press the switch two times in quick succesion and then once more, after which some kind of melodic beep is heard and I quickly press again, and a second later, voila, clear, uninterrupted audio begins to stream. The procedure's a bit messy to go through each time, but at least it works.

I apologize if I'm asking the obvious, but I assume you're talking about the switch on your headset? But just to be clear, can you tell me exactly which switch you are referring to?
I did manage to get it to stream smoothly, by disconnecting and reconnecting a couple of times while Windows Media player was playing.
Damole: Thanks for the link, top the firmware thread. After reading through it though, I'm still not sure how I would go about updating the firmware the BT firmware on my 8204. -
gizhola,
Yeah, of course it is the switch, or whatever this button allowing to change between hands-free and stereo mode might be, on my headset, if it can be called so. Our models just seem to be quite different - mine is a pair of earbuds, the small black thing with "the switch" in the middle of the wire and the bluetooth module on its end.
