Hi,
my tm3200 (2 yrs old) recently starting dying (assumed) as whenever the laptop gets hot, the gfx will die, and i end up with 256 colours/640x320 resolution. (ati2dvg problem)
A restart usually fixes this. So i've gone and researched how to fix this, found some forums that a bios + driver will fix it.
It did... for 2 hours.
Since then, the computer has restarted and given me a "PXE-E61 Media cable could be loose, plz check) after the acer bios screen comes up, OS not found. I've also researched this, found forums saying thumping the laptop might do the trick. It did once, but the computer restarted again after around 2 hours, and the PXE-E61 message appeared again.
Thumped it again, this time windows will not load, tryed restarting 10 times, still same PXE-E61 message.
I've checked BIOS, and now the HDD1 name/Serial is blank...
So can anyone help me?
Is this a isolated hd problem or is there something wrong the chipset?
(the connector looks fine, i've taken the hd out and put it back in, all seems fine, hd doesn't make any weird noises)
Thanks.
Andrew
