The TravelMate 4200 gets about 3 hours of battery life... depending on usage, of course. ;)

Any test or review with precise battery life numbers ? Is Core Duo better than the Centrino with same battery config ?

Well the Duo Core is said to be for better multitasking. I wouldnt say its for the worse, and yes it's definitely an upgrade. As for weight, I wouldnt go by them as an exact figure, they tend to just ballpark in that area. Also, I believe Acer is trying to make the units more sturdy on future models (IMO). Dont know if that had to do with some of the wieght. I know the lower budget lines in the past had more of a flimsy, hollow feel to it, but the higher lines were much better quality.

TM4202WLMI also seems to be a lot cheaper on the entry/out and option than the ther AS5672. Anyone knows the differences between them ?

    Acer lineup is so confusing!!

The Aspire 5672 has a built-m webcam and a better graphics card, an ATI x1400. That's why it's a bit more expensive. If you dont see yourself taking advantage of the graphics for gaming or the webcam, then the TravelMate 4200 would be good enough for you.

Thanks again madmike23. I am almost ready to go on with the TM4202... only thing that bugs me is the battery. Seems like the TM4202 only got the 6 cell while the AS5672 get the 8 cells. IS it true ?

Will it be possible to replace it afterward ? ANd does some 2ndary battery option exist for thos models ?
