It might seem redundant to ask about these but I've surfed everywhere and my dilema is still not resolved. I'm decided on going for either one of these Acer models.

The specs are similar as far as I can gather. The processor speed difference and HD size does not bother me.

I'm looking at the more portable option here, the lightest, thinnest, quietest, coolest laptop with the most battery life.

The difference between these two for all these things doesn't appear that big to me so maybe someone can designate a clear winner.

My concern about the TM8003 is the all plastic body. The bag I will put it in is a camera bag and when this bag lies horizontally (e.g. when I want to access camera gear) then there will be a small load on top of the notebook. Is a metal screen casing really required in your opinions?

My concern about the Aspire 2025 is the slot-loading multi-drive. Can stuff (dust/dirt/etc) get in there more easily than conventional type trays and would this be more conducive to drive failure in your opinions?

What's better, wide or normal screen? Is this just a personal preference? If so, does widescreen work well with normal applications/games/etc?

The price difference is something to think about I guess, espcially if I'd like to get a 5400RPM or 7200RPM drive and maybe a RAM upgrade. Then the TM8000 seems the best choice. (I even think the 60Gb HD in the TM is 5400RPM??)

Any comments would be appreciated, I'm only planning on buying in a couple months...Thanks!
