My Acer TravelMate 8104WLMi is out of warranty so I am looking for help here. Recently my computer is having troubles with the screen not being as bright as it should. It is not a case of the backlight being bad as I can still use it to work with, it is just not as bright as it should be. It is running at about 50%. I have tried using the function key combination with no luck and have aslo tried using the EPM (Acer epower management utility) still no luck. This had happened to me before but somehow resolved itself within minutes. Today I cannot do anything to bring this thing up to 100% even though I am running on AC power. I have tried flipping it to other power schemes within the epm, but still no luck. There was nothing apparent within the bios to adjust this setting. Thinking perhaps I just did not see it within the bios I reset to factory bios default, still no luck.
