Hi all,
I'm using a Kensington Bluetooth mouse with my 8204, and am experiencing drop-outs about every 2 hours or so. Clicking on My Bluetooth Places, then View Devices in Range shows my mouse, and if I double-click on my mouse it will come back to life. Not so bad if I'm using desktop apps, but it sucks when I'm playing games!
The problem is that I bought the Kensington mouse at the same time as the 8204, and I don't have any other machines I can test the mouse with. So, the question is, is it a problem with the mouse, or with the 8204's bluetooth adpator?
If you have experienced any problems with bluetooth dropping out on the 8204, or have experienced any problems with the Kensignton mouse, please let me know - I need to get to the bottom of it!
Thanks!

Where did you buy ur BT Mouse? buy another BT mouse from Either M$ or Logitech and compare.
If the other mice drop connection too, then you may have mess around with ur BT card in the laptop.. search google about BT drop connection.
If the other mice work fine, return the kensington one for another one if you want, or keep the M$ one or th Logitech one and be happy
Plz make a review of the Acer 8204!!
Thanks,

Hi.
I purchased an ACER 8204 WLMi on February 21st and a Logitech V270 Bluetooth mouse.
I am experiencing the same problems:
mouse connection is lost from time to time.
The interval between lost connection is very random.
Also tried keeping the mouse away from the vent grid of the notebook (unfortunately it's on the right side...): this does not solve the problem but seems to reduce the number of times it happens.
Also noticed the following:
Bluetooth Radio device entries partially disappeared from the Windows XP system device manager .
This happened two times. Solved it removing the remaining drive rentry. Plug&play detected and reinstalled correctly the driver in a few seconds.
Anyone has news on this problem ?
thanks,

i haven't noticed any correlation of the drops to anything, except that they tend to be more frequent when first starting the machine, particularly from hibernation. Yes, it's an 8204.
