This is probably an obvious answer, but CPU-Z shows my RAM on my 8204 at:

    Frequency: 266.7MHz
    FSB :DRAM: 5:8
    CAS# Latency: 4.0 clocks
    RAS# to CAS# Delay: 4 clocks
    RAS# Precharge: 4 clocks
    Cycle Time: 12 clocks

Why is it showing that frequency for a 533MHz PC4300?

    Thanks

Because 266MHz is the *raw* memory clock rate - DDR (Double Data Rate) RAM transfers 2 pieces of data for every clock cycle, thus the actual transfer rate is 266.7 x 2 = 533.4

If you are wondering why it's not showing that of 667mhz, then it's because all 8204 have 533mhz and not 667mhz.

I don't really know why, some say that it's due to shortage in supply, however, I don't beleive that this would be the reason as other vendors are offering 667mhz memory and furthermore the 667mhz memory modules are offered for sale everywhere online.
