    Howdy...

I have a small but annoying issue: When I connect a 2nd monitor to my TM8204, and activate the screen, the laptop's screen will start to flicker. I think it's actually the backlight flickering. Basically, the screen dims and brightens again very quickly.

It flickers for just a fraction of a second once every 5-10 seconds. The interval seems random, I can detect no pattern to it.

Sometimes a reboot or standby will fix the problem, but not always...

It's not a huge issue, but it would be nice to find a solution. Has anyone else seen this?

it could be a backlight / inverter issue. It could also be a faulty dvi / vga cable or a cable that is not connected securely.

    Check the cable first ;)

I have yet to see any problems with my 5672 backlight / inverter, but I would be interested in knowing if anyone with your laptop model (or mine for that matter) has had any problems.
