just started playing with my new laptop - when i put the phone into the pcmcia slot it's not detecting anything and no charge indicator as indicated in manual by acer. it connects via BT to the pc but don't think it is charging?? ..so do I need to drive all the freakin way to change phone or is it only a indicator problem

Once you plug it in, the charge light should automatically come on. If not, most likely it isnt plug all the way in.
