    Hi there,

    I upgraded a 7520G to a ATI HD3470, all works okay.

However, I cannot get any temperature readings from the card.

I tried several tools, GPUZ was among them, but no one gave me any readings.

As there are some Acer laptops that come with a 3470 as the default MXM card, I am asking this here:

Does anyone get temperature readings from his Acer laptop with a 3470 built in?

If so, what tool and drivers are you using?

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Cheers

My lappy came with this GPU and it had temp readings, try with older versions of GPU-Z, like 0.3.9, or even older. The other option is that your GPU is an ES one, and could lack this sensor.

    ES stand for ... economy ? :D

I will try an older GPUZ later (at work now) and report back.

    Thanks!

Any other comments and pointers are welcome!

    Cheers

Engineering Sample - just for test purpose, it's not meant for selling and it could lack thing, or two :)

    Thanks,

But I get no readings withs GPUZ 0.5, 0.39 and 0.30.

Also nothing with Everest and PC Wizard.

I have it now in a Compal FL90, but I think its not laptop related - I tried several tools with the Acer 7520G and the 3470 without success.

I attached the GPU-Z screenshot - maybe someone can see what's wrong ...

I also have a 2400XT with the very same "issue".

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

    Cheers

It reads your clocks incorrectly. Try a GPU-Z (old one) which reads them correctly and then you could probably get a temp reading.

Well, I browsed thru the web and I found several other GPU-Z screenshots of this card - they all where missing the temperature sensor bar.

Well, it fits good in the Compal FL90, meaning the heat sink made perfect contact, unlike in the Acer 7520G. So I leave it in the FL90 and hope it runs fine.

If I manage to get correct readings, I repost.

If anyone has another idea, I'd be happy to hear.

    Cheers

No luck with GPUZ 0.0.9 nor 0.2.0.

    Thanks anyway
