Hi, i have just purchased this laptop, this laptop is suprisingly good, except for one thing, in the ad it says 1GB ram and 80 GB memory. But now, i found out something really bad, the actually that it has is only 69.5 GB, so im just wondering if this is a mal-function computer or something, or is it a scam, or is every computer just like this????? if u guyz can answer me this, ill be greatly apperaiated. Thanks for everything.

probably just the FAT32 Partitioning that it comes with...
you never actually get 80.0 GB free on the hard drive...
the partitions/operating system/acers junk programs all take up space when you get it.

you got a invisible partition( for restoring to factory settings. go to acer forum there is a , and all other softwares,so that might be using ur hard disk a bit, so this is the case with every one, so do not worry, check the acer 5102 thread in the acer forum, and i have a doubt can u tell me about the processor,is it a single or dual core

thanks guyz, btw this is a AMD Turion 64 Mobile Technology Mk36, i think itz a single core, cause like both of my old computer, they were just 5 GB less than wt the ads say, but this one is 10GB, so it really got me worried...

I just got this notebook a couple of days ago and needed to install XP Professional. I got everything work OK except the sound card. The driver that I got from their web site doesn't seem to work. Anybody got any suggestions?

    Thanks.
