I just downloaded the 32-bit demo from Microsoft, and I was curious if I could get it running on my AAO. I know it can't run Vista, but I've heard that 7 runs like lightning on most computers that can't even run Vista. Assuming it would run, could I install it through a bootable flash drive?

    Faster than XP?! o_O

Must install now. Could I mount with Daemon Tools or do I need to make a bootable flash drive?

Mounting won't work for installing any Windows version(any OS actually) because the emulators like Daemon Tools only work IN Windows you already have installed and ONLY for this installation. And the installation process(of any OS) is NOT in windows unless your installing in VM. You'll definitely need to make a bootable flash drive or use an external CD/DVD drive.

Well I will be installing on a separate partition, so I wasn't sure if I could install it while still in Windows.

There are a few people that have been able to mount it and install windows 7 successfully. I did it and it installed no problems, but then once installed I had loads of issues. The themes screwed up, Win7 wouldn't shutdown at all, and a few smaller issues, whether this was because i mounted it then installed i don't know, but when i re-installed again from DVD it installed without any issues.

If your running XP, that may also stop you from mounting it as I don't think the installer will run in XP.

Thanks. I just created a bootable USB drive, so I will let you know how it goes.

    Update:

Wow! All I can say is that they were right about Windows 7 being faster than XP! <3 <3 <3

One can also use a USB hard drive for installations. The One boots to most every port AFICS, but I've had a One for only 24 hours now.
