Do you love me because I'm totally awesome? Or is it because you want to upgrade your Acer Aspire 4315. If you think I'm awesome, well I'm flattered. If you want to upgrade your CPU make sure you upgrade your BIOS to at least 1.8. Here's the download page:

Yep ... the work was not easy at all . (pin modded)

For a moment i was ready to pool my hairs off :D

This tiny wire can get away of control, and fall on the naked motherboard.

If you loose it , you are in panic , because it can cause a shortage at no time.
And the motherboard can be killed instantly ..

Any way , thanks God i am experienced , and everything got smoothly. :)

    The best are the results ... Speed man ... Speed !! :D :D :D
    Equal power with P4 3200 /875 or Intel Pentium M 770 ;)

    good work on the UPGRADE!!!

i know what you mean,, i had a COMPAQ apart yesterday... the nuts that were solderd to the MD to hold heatsink to CPU had melted the SOLDER and the heatsink was flopping around and transfering NO HEAT so the system was shutting down very quickly.... in my attempts to epoxy the nuts back to the MB one of the nuts came loose and went for a trip somewhere inside the case. after 2 hrs of searching for it i finally found it... and now the COMPAQ is working better than it has in years.

but i was freaking out for about 2 hrs!!!

Hey i just watched the video ... Good lord what a jabberer . :D

As about the thermal goop , mate do a favor to your self, and read what are the correct way to apply it , at the arctic silver web site.

I use arctic silver for more than 6 years, this material works only if you apply it as a film (Thin layer) , and no ... the size - quantity of it, its not the correct way to know, how much you need .

You have long way to run yet , in order to do an proper CPU exchange .
For an amateur level , you are in the right way , keep practicing . :)

The detail makes the deference , and the proper tools !! and not the quality of words ... what a jabberer :D

^ Yeah, I do agree on the comment made regarding the application of AS-5. You can't be really sure how much you applied, and the pressure of the heatsink can make that rice grain seep outside the die limits (this vid will mostly be watched by 1st-time upgraders), hence causing a mark similar to one as you can see on my cpu at one of the corners (previous owner !! not me :D), though the mark on mine may have been caused due to an accidental spillage of AS5 by the previous owner.

Overall, the video was good, very useful for first-timers. I actually got bored whilst watching it :D

Yes, I knew I put to much on, even during the video. So instead of having to do the video over, being how lazy I am, I decided just say to use less then what I put on, THE SIZE OF A GRAIN OF RICE, and reapplied it after I finished the vid.
