advan20092 is AWESOME!
Just to explain how awesome this modded BIOS is: It enables a new INTEL-ONLY graphics setting in the BIOS for the TG models. This disables the ATI chip entirely, basically making the Switchable Graphics TG models act like the T models, which "fixes" the bug where both graphics chips are active after a Resume from Standby.

This gives 3810TG owners the promised battery life of 8+ hours. One caveat - it disables the HDMI port. For HDMI you have to use Switchable or ATI-ONLY modes.
If you dont want to mess with the advanced settings, the first download is the one you want.
If you do mess with the advanced settings, be careful... you can make your Timeline non-bootable... I've done it once, and the only way to recover after that is to do the BIOS recovery procedure described elsewhere.

thanks for sharing this. works fine for my 3810tg.

Hi,
excellent Work avansys!! Works perfect on my 3810, only the noise of the fan is lkouder than was it back at BIOS 1.17.
But the VGA feature to select each GPU seperately is excellent! BTW what are the additional features in the second version??
In any case, a modded biso from ACER finally resolving the NOISE issue would be paradise!!
Cheers & kudos!!!

Super!
I confirm this works on Acer 3810TZ.
These links in OP did not work for me. And the mirror was very strange, I could not download from there. Grabbed the file from one Russian forum.
Here is my mirror:
JM31.127_SLIC.zip (832 KB)
You need a flash utility from original Acer firmware. Just replace the .fd file there and start the utility. -
So what are the exact additional tweaks available apart from the GPU selection?
Plus does upgrading bring along the noisier fan as it was the case with ver1.24?? -
To prevent increasing of fan noise you can flash BIOS 1.17 from Windows and then flash new BIOS 1.27 using BIOS restore procedure (power + esc + fn). -
Will this work on 5810TZG ?

Hey guys, does this remove the 2 graphics resume from suspend bug for you?
I tried JM31.127_SLIC_ad1ced and I still get extra powerconsumption after resume from suspend...
Thanks -
I believe the standby bug is caused by software (driver) issues for the following reason:
I experienced the bug and fixed it without changing the BIOS. On my original system the bug occurred at some point. Then I set up a new Win7 system (64 bit) with Acer drivers from the support page. The bug was still there.
I installed other drivers (Intel VGA from the Intel page, and ATI VGA from Dell). Since then it worked perfectly and stable: Low power consumption after standby.
Interesting: When I overclocked ATI with RivaTuner, which works fine, the standby bug appeared again. I went back to a working system image and overclocked without installing the RivaTuner (just by copying the program folder). There were only a number of Reg entries changed and these changes caused the sdtandby bug.
This points to a software issue, right?
As long as I do not overclock, everything runs perfectly.
By the way. The modded BIOS is very nice. The fan works always in a very low mode so that it is almost not noticable. However, the laptop heats up if CPU is used a lot (about 10°C more than usual). If ATI GPU is used heavily it gets really hot underneath. ATI sensors show about 70°C.
I have a 3810TG-944G32n -
Does this Bios Mod give us overclock option? Is there a Bios Mod for 3810T that will allow us to overclock through bios?
-
the files are down..
advan, do you have the 1.28 version also uploaded somewhere?
cheers -

I found a MODDED BIOS that permits the selection between INTEGATED / ATI:
BIOS (ÁÈÎÑ) íîóòáóêà. Íàñòðîéêà, ïðîøèâêà, âîññòàíîâëåíèå, îñîáåííîñòè... [10] - Êîíôåðåíöèÿ iXBT.com
Acer_Aspire_4810_5810_v135_more_options_IST
I can see now why ACER did not release such an option: the 5810TG won't reboot properly if INTEGRATED is selected! (works fine though, as the SO recognizes only 1 card, and the other will presumably will stay turned off, not drawing any power).
So... was i better of buying the T model (CHEAPER, without the ATI card)? I suppose!
