So I was strolling at our local mall here and saw that one of my favorite shops have updated their inventory to the new Core Solo Acers, and I said to myself, okay, that's the Timeline series. Curiosity abounds, and mysteriously when I go over to where they are displaying the laptops I see the new laptops, but instead of having decals saying "Timeline 4810t" and "Timeline 3810t", I see them having names "Aspire 4810t" and "Aspire 3810t". Now, I know the Timeline series is distinct that they all have Core Solos and DDR3 RAM and these have them as well--only they are Aspires, or so the stickers say. Are the namings different in other regions? I'm in the Philippines so could that explain the naming? I know differences in model names are predominant in DSLRs of Canon, but heck..

The official names are Acer Aspire 3810T Timeline. The "T" stands for timeline, so i guess you can just call it Aspire 3810T.

The informed buyer knows what a 3810T is. The average buyer doesn't care about the name.
