I notice that all reviews for this laptop are based on the SU9400 model. I'm wondering if these reviews are then accurate for the SU3500 and SU2700 models in terms of performance?

I know the SU9400 is dual-core, I'd just like to know the difference in performance between the two varieties.

Thanks for that. The review says the performance improvement with the SU9400 is pretty significant (unless I mistranslated it), Passmark test was 508 for SU9400 and 334 for SU3500. However, do you think I'd notice the difference with casual use if I keep multitasking to a minimum? By casual I mean, word processing, casual gaming (CS, Quake, etc), and some graphic design here and there (I currently use Photoshop CS2).

    Core Solo SU2700
    SuperPi 1M: 39 sec.
Wprime 32M: 123 sec. (Rounded to nearest integer)
Seems like SU3500 isn't such a good deal for an increase in cost performance wise.

Note that SuperPI actually fails as a benchmark.
I get varying results using my Turion RM-72 Processor.
What I get is the load doesn't stress my CPU to get up to full speed.
If I force it to run at 100% the timing decrease but this shouldn't be happening via manual control
    I got like
    SuperPi 1M: 45 sec.
    Wprime 32M: 40 sec.
    SuperPi simply CMI

It won't impact your performance much because none of what you listed there is CPU intensive.

What is the difference in power consumption and what effect will it have on battery life? I am looking at the SU2700 13.3 inch model. I have a good laptop and was going to get a netbook for portability but may spend a little more and get this computer instead.

I doubt you'll see any difference if they come with the same capacity battery.
