    I'm gonna be in the market for a new laptop soon...ideally a Timeline with Nvidia Optimus...is this on the horizon at all?

    Funny you should ask. This Aspire 4820TG has a NVIDIA GT 330M http://prod.it.com.cn/prod/3471/347198.html which means that it is capable of running Optimus. Until I saw that, I was not aware that Acer was going to use anything but ATI GPU's in the TimelineX series. So, there will probably be some models made with Optimus. The question is will US retailers get any?
