I'm running Windows 7 and my computer acts erratically when it goes to sleep. It either (a) doesn't wake up, (b) wakes up but locks up immediately, (c) wakes up and then blue screens. Other than that it works fine. I did a clean install and everything *seems* fine except for this issue.

Maybe it has something to do with my video drivers. Has anybody else had to deal with this?

    I have a 3820TG with an i3-370M. I haven't overclocked it (yet).

Thanks for your response. I tried uninstalling both video drivers a few times and tried just using the discrete ATI card, but in all cases I had problems. Currently it *seems* like it is resuming from sleep fine if it is plugged in. However, if I sleep it by closing the laptop lid while it is running on battery, then it will not resume and all of the blue lights slowly flash indefinitely (i.e., power button, "P" button, and the power light in the front).

I'm not sure if it is my video drivers or not. If I Hibernate the computer instead of sleep it, it resumes just fine (although it takes a while). In general sleep locks up the computer in the three ways I mentioned, although it is most likely to totally lock up if I wait about 30s - 1 minute before resuming the machine.

Anyway, the OCZ Vertex 2 SSD that I have in the machine is known to have resume from sleep issues. Supposedly these will be resolved in the next firmware release. However, I did notice that several people in the 3820TG lounge have Vertex 2's and I couldn't find any of them complaining about this problem. I tried a few different Intel drivers hoping that this would alleviate the problem.

I could try re-installing windows, but I'm not terribly enthusiastic about this option.

I'm almost certain it's because of your SSD
Same issue people were having with the Corsair Force (including me), which has the same Sandforce controller. Corsair advises to turn off all sleep options and hybrid sleep and make sure you BIOS is up to date.
