So anyone been able to get their TM8204's to run in SATA mode and if so how? I figure it's probably not possible due to being BIOS restricted, but who knows, maybe all one needs is a clean install with SATA drivers preloaded.

I'll follow your question with a question, how can I tell if mine is running in SATA mode (not that I think it will be if as standard they aren't, and even if mine is I would have no idea how I got it there).

Hahaha, nice :D I believe when it runs in SATA mode, expanding IDE/ATAPI will show the storage controller with AHCI in its name. Like, "Intel(R) 82801GHM SATA AHCI Controller" or something similar.
