    To Acer's owners who have Windows 7 and need Acer official drivers

    Hi all

    I just noticed that if you go to Acer support page you will find that in some laptops there will be Acer official drivers for Windows 7. So if you have windows 7 and you need some drivers for your hardware to work ok, you might be lucky and find the right drivers there. There are some Acer's applications there as well.
    Just choose your laptop and then in the Operating system drop down menu check if there is a Windows 7 option and pick the Windows 7 version you have, 32-bit or 64-bit. They are not all there that you might need but I guess in a couple of weeks more and more drivers are going to be uploaded on the site and more laptops are going to be supported.

    Isn't that this website is better, http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/
    It is the official site and home for all Acer Support - Drivers & Download.
    There are a few models have the Windows 7 drivers/application/software. However, majority of the models did not have them.
    Yet, Vista drivers/software/applications will basically works on Windows 7 too.

    Why is it better? It's the same site. The one you are referring is for the USA and the one I am referring is the European (UK specifically). After all, people should go and check in their own area for drivers just to be sure they have the right drivers. All I wanted is to notify people that Acer has published drivers for W7 for some laptops, as I said, not all, and I am pretty sure they know better where to check best.
    I know that most of the Vista drivers are working on W7 but not all and many people have problems with some hardware and applications so I thought it will be better if people went there and check for an Acer's official drivers. It is better than try Vista drivers and see.

    thanks i'll be sure to check this out when my windows 7 upgrade disk arrives in a few weeks, although when I spoke to acer support about drivers for windows 7 he told me they would all be included on the new windows 7 disk, so maybe I won't need to download any from that site?

    That's great news. Hopefully they are going to send the DVDs quickly and before the 22th of October.
    I can't wait for the W7.

    Remember, Vista drivers will work on 7 flawlessly 95% of the time.

    That's why I made this thread for the 5-10% :D
    I know people had and have problems with some drivers.
    :smile: I hope they'll find some temporary remedy until the end of October.
