    Hi

I'll keep it brief. I've got a T7500 that I want to drop in my Aspire 4315. The Chip replacement is simple enough, but Acer unwilling to advise me what Bios I will need to upgrade to, even though they offer bios upgrades on their website.

    please advise

What is the current processor in your laptop? I have a feeling the T2500 will not be compatible.

If the previous BIOS doesn't have support for the CPU and the newer one does, then you will have to install the newer BIOS first or your computer might not turn on.
