After I was done cleaning my vents and fan today, I was greeted with a white screen upon booting up.
Since the screen gets power, and it works when connected to an external monitor, I do believe I have accidentally poked out the cable that connects motherboard to LCD.
And since that's under the not-user-accessible portion of the case, it may take a while for me to get at it.
So, I'm stuck with a blind laptop. Wheeeee.

Yeah it does sound like you pulled out the LCD cable. How come it's not user accessible?
-
Sorry to hear that mate
After disassemble-assemble procedure (no matter for what, either cleaning, or changing a part), I'm praying every single time while I'm pressing the power button, so I definitely feel for you, and I'm kinda scared, that it could happens to me too
-
Thus, users aren't meant to access it.
I probably still could, but I'm pushing the terms of my warranty already, thanks.
Will use an external monitor until school term is over, then I can send it in for repairs. -
Yeah in that case you better send it off for repairs. -
BUMP - laptop's fixed!
I just managed to poke loose the cable that connects LCD to motherboard.
Dad fix'd it, so I'm fully operational again. -
Congrats, mate! I'm glad that it is fixed
Totally Boned for a While
