    Acer travelmate 2420
Mouse pad stopped responding for no real reason.. I pressed fn+F7, made the beep signaling activating the pad, but it still didnt work.
    Any solutions?

It was fine in the device manager.
It turns out it was the touchpad, and the buttons that were affected.
    That entire area was dead.
