Hi everyone, I have this problem where if I leave my Acer 3680 laptop on for a while, the mouse and keyboard start to "stutter". By stutter, I mean that the mouse moves, but it's not smooth, and the keyboard sometimes doesn't pick up a keystroke.

I think it's overheating, but my CPU temperature is around 50c, which shouldn't be a problem. When I put it on a laptop cooling pad, it doesn't stutter as much.

The stuttering happens in intervals too. For example, I will have smooth mouse movement, then it'll start to stutter (which looks a lot like when a game's fps drops), and then it'll go back to being smooth, and then repeats. I know the keyboard stutters b/c when I hold down a key and the letter repeats, the speed it repeats slows down for a second, and then speeds back up again.

I've tried taking the laptop apart and cleaning out dust and stuff, but it doesn't work.

    Any ideas?
