    Hello

Yesterday i dismantled my netbook to clean it. This was my third time cause i installed a 1.8" hdd.
After clean and when i was mounting the keyboard i decided to power it on to see if everything was ok.
It booted up all ok but touchpad and the two keys are not working. I saw that the flat cable was damaged and ordered one from ebay.
My question is does the touchpad keys work even if the touchpad is disconnected?

    cheers

No they don't.It's a single intergrated unit.If the cable is damaged it's very natural for both to be malfunctioning.
